aslong there is a open standard that allows the software you purchase to be used with other products and not just "NOW WITH SUPPORT FOR PRODUCT Y!"  or "PRODUCT X EXCLUSIVE!" kinda stuff happening, that would kill the industry

I've been saying the same thing about motion capture BS in the gaming industry for a few years now. Sadly neither seem to be going away.
