Hello LTT! I just updated my new gpu with the current 353.06 driver and I'm worried because it already stopped working twice.

Is there something wrong with this driver and should I use previous versions?

Spec:

4790k @ 4.6

Maximus VII hero

evga 980 ti sc acx

The current and previous drivers crash and recover arbitrarily.

Which driver should I revert to? I'm trying to access eVGA site but it seems to be down for me.

Firstly, download drivers directly from the source (Nvidia).

350.12 didn't exhibit crashes, personally.

Release was at 4/13. Will this driver recognize the new 980 tis?

Works with titan x, 980 Ti isn't that different. Should be fine.

Downloaded it but hesitant to install it since it doesn't say 980 tis are supported.

Weird thing is that it only crashes when playing games that doesn't use gpu that much. e.g LoL

Witcher 3's been running flawlessly so far.

ive had no problems with the 353's but I was getting crashes when BROWSING using the 331 driver

my friend with my old 980 was having crashes every 2 mins on 353... he had to revert back to the 350 GTA driver to get stability.

It's a known issue. Frequent crashes here when browsing in Chrome and FF (never in games) with the last two drivers. Crash does not occur when browsing in IE11 for some odd reason.

If you guys are getting driver crashes outside of games then it is probably something else.    Reverting to earlier drivers may just mask the problem.
