Hello!

I am not too good in English, so there could be some incorrect words or something like that.

I have an a Asus WL-520GC. How could i use this with external HDD and use it in my local network storage. In my desktop PC using Ethernet cable, and via Wi-Fi to laptops and other devices.

I hope, that you understud, what i want to know.

As far as I can see, that modem doesn't support storage being attached to it directly.

You could manually attach it to a system and then copy and paste files that you wish to backup to it.

Maybe change the modem?

If you're looking to get a new external HDD, you could look at a networked one like the WD MyBook Live or Seagate GoFlex Home. They plug directly into your router assuming your ASUS one can handle it.

Changing the modem could work, I don't have any recommendations though.
