This is my first post, but have been a lurker for a while now. I came across this "confirmed pricing" for the upcoming AMD cards and wanted to share this here and get some thoughts on this. If anyone else is like me and waiting to make an upgrade decision, this should come as good news. I have been using 6870's in crossfire and have been waiting to see if AMD offers anything that is better than the GTX 970 for the price. Should this turn out to be true, AMD will definitely provide some competition and incentive by the aggressive pricing. Still unsure about which upgrade path I will take and I will wait for some reviews to surface first.

IF it performs... this could be the start of something good for AMD and consumers in general as Nvidia will HAVE to drop prices on the competing products... IF it performs.. waiting to see.

My only concern is that HBM and the manufacturing process for AMD aren't as efficient or cheap as Nvidia's so they could be cutting their own throats.. they need more funds for R&D.

I don'T PreSS caPs.. I juST Hit THe keYboARd so HarD iT CriTs :P

Quote or @dzzope to get my attention..

There is no way it will be 389 for there flagship

The 390x wont be their flagship. The Radeon Fury is apparently the name of their flagship card, the one that will trade blows with the 980ti/Titan X.

The 390x is more of a competitor for the 980 and 970 and is supposedly an improved version of the 290x that is more powerful and more power efficient(how much remains to be seen).
