Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

Well, it's not only a little bit more, but the 7950 is definitely better. It's always nice to buy graphics card in the $200 range for 25% less.

I picked one up for my htpc on ebay recently for 105$.... really not much more than this card.

How does this and the 7950 compare to the GTX 750 Ti? I want to pick one up for my brother right now instead of buying some Steam games, but if the 750 Ti is better I'll just get that for him (again).

The 7950/R9 280 is much better. The 7950 is about the same performance as the 960 which is faster than the 760. http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1332?vs=1130

I had crossfire 7970s and now a 750ti. The 7970 is faster, but I'd take the 750ti over it. Mine is SILENT In games while still staying close. That was important to me ihmo after having 2 7970s. That being said a 7970 is a amazing value right now, just remember there's more then just powa
