He is coming from Console so he is not bothered about Ultra settings...he mainly wants PC since its got Smoother FPS, More games, All purpose System and the Community. I just wanted to know would the 6800K Overclocked with 2133Mhz memory give him good frames on Battlefield 4 at Low settings.

budget? and 2133 is a bit too much imo.

Uh, you should be looking more into the graphics card than anything else. But for low settings, the processor will be fine and you can cut down on the memory if it saves you money. 1600 mhz will do the same job for gaming.

Most likely but hes a ton better off with a more powerful CPU and discrete gpu.

If he buys high powered GPus eventually the CPU will bottleneck.

Get something like an FX 4300 and a 7750 and drop the ram speed. Should work out cheaper or only a bit more and have better performance.

get him a phenom 965 for £60 and any graphics card, the cpu wont bottleneck for a while and a dedicated can be upgraded down the line when he realises he wants more than low settings (and he will) maybe a 7850 in a few months, overclock them both (on a decent board) job done.

2133mhz isnt that much. APU will benefit a lot from higher Mhz Ram.

2133mhz isnt that much. APU will benefit a lot from higher Mhz Ram.

i was thinking about that. not much knowledge abt apus.

bad. get an ivy bridge pentium g2020+b75 mobo and hd 7770.so that later he can upgrade to an i5. fm2 platform...dead. 

 

same with amd.but intel is better at gaming with low end cpu`s.the apu is just a weak athlon x4 750K + a weak gpu.  give us a budget

Apu would benefit from higher ram speed so that would be a good choice.

Get a fx 4300 piledriver should be good enough and a 7750. if he wants he can upgrade later to steamroller. And the 7750 is also easy to overclock.

"yes" is good, it's awesome to tell the true :lol: A10 with a 2133 mhz ram is "perfect"

 

i just play with a friend a Portal 2 cooperative today, and he have a A8

 

A8 and A10 are the new low/med Gamer PC 

 

 

 

(and they play some games in high easy)  :wub:

CPU = A10 6800K (@4.3Ghz) / GPU = HD 8670D (@844mhz/ram@1866mhz) - 2016 ≠ Dual Cores - why learn Linux ? - OLD intel x4 cpu (Q6600) + amd HD 7950 - this is what i think on watts x dollar cost - CPU "bottlenecks" only start to show "at the super high end cards" (like the 390) if you have a 4 cores CPU
