all i can suggest is the 70D and a laptop to offload pictures. ive never been to yellowstone but if I did i would probably fill up a card fairly quickly. also get a polarizor lens. I would never travel with out it. you never know when you will encounter water.

I'm hoping to use the tablet for that. I don't have a laptop.

you need to get (my suggestion is based on today but might change is in the future) a macbook air with lots of storage. not saying its vital. just something i would do personally.

18-200 all in one zoom. Best travel lens. (bring a wide angle 10-22 is great and a 50 1.8)

Sell it all, buy a 5D Mark II, a 17-40 f/4L, a good tripod and a set of Lee filters (graded ND filters for starters). All you will ever need for nature and landscape photography. Swap the 17-40 f/4L for a 16-35 f/2.8L if you've got cash to splash.

Really though the one piece of advice I can offer you is that you should stop buying a lot of cheap gear and buy a few good pieces instead.

I do a lot more than that. The long zoom is needed.

I'm currently saving for a 5d3.

More bodies are needed for my video work.

Then add a 70-200 L variant to that list. :)

I know. At some point I will.

For now, the cheaper gear works.

Whatever camera you prefer, the widest angle lense you have (so the 10-18) and a zoom/telephoto for wildlife (70-200).

Then a couple of spare batteries and memory cards and you'll be good.
