960$ Gaming Rig ¿is it good?

Hi guys! hope you help me, im building a PC from Pcpartpicker and can't exceed 960$ so here is my config: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Ft6F99

Im planning on overclocking to 4,5 GHz with my cooler and with my actual FX 6300 i can go up to 4,5 and 1,4125V and have nice temps.

¿What parts should i change?

¿8350 is situable for 1080p 60fps gaming?

is the case i picked good ? if not please recommend me one with good airflow and not so expensive

thanks in advance

You should go with something like a 4690k instead of the 8350

im ok with that but why?

i've seen people that prefer quad core i5 to octa core fx 8350 ._.

For gaming, which prefer single threaded performance, the 4690k is faster

8350 is ancient architecture m8, and it isnt a true octa core either way :P

the 4690k has faster cores, games like faster cores

4690K // 212 EVO // Z97-PRO // Vengeance 16GB // GTX 770 GTX 970 // MX100 128GB // Toshiba 1TB // Air 540 // HX650

the number of cores doesn't determine the performance i5>8350

the AMD 9590 has a 220W TDP

That is why one should not get it.

If you desire a octo core go for the Xeon E3 1231 V3, it has 8 threads which will perform better than the 9590 in a 100% multi-threaded threaded application as well as crush it in single-thread.  (it's locked so no OC though)

I'll edit that build to fit it along with SLI

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/KQhJD3

Here you go, it has 8 threads, 8GB of RAM, 850W EVGA PSU Bronze, SLI compatible Motherboard, and 1TB HDD.

For the Best builds and Price lists here is a world where many points of the price have been predefined already for your convenience!

The Xeon E3 1231 V3 IS BETTER Than the Core i5 4690K and a Significantly better value for the non-overclockers or value shoppers.

Thanks for the build, now i've done this http://pcpartpicker.com/p/vtW8qs which is over 960 and maybe i can afford it, but what i really need is a cpu cooler, because i really want to overclock at least to 4 Ghz, and the fractal desing case is really amazing but im liking this one too, so this last build is ok for the gaming i need?

also the desired games are; GTA V,  Cod's, BF4-3, Pes 2015, DMC and far cry 3-4

i hope the 4960K has good performance per core

EDIT: Made one with a better, cheaper PSU http://pcpartpicker.com/p/CtFrsY

Thanks again for the build, i did this http://pcpartpicker.com/p/HcKgyc and only changed the cooler for one i like more, so this seems to be the correct build, but do i need case fans or the gpu fans and the water cooler are enough ?

The 300R comes with a 140mm in front (intake), and a 120mm in the rear (exhaust).  I would simply move that 140mm to the top as an exhaust and buy two inexpensive (but quiet-ish) 120mm to put in the front as intakes:

@Landwing

Wait scratch that...

Since you have a 120mm AiO radiator, mount that on the back (exhaust).

Take the 120mm fan (rear) and mount that on the top as an exhaust.

Buy one more 140mm to mount in the front so you have two 140mm in the front as intakes...

Oops, wrong build... you picked the EVO...

Do the dual 120mm in the front (you have to buy those), and the 140mm moved to the top as an exhaust.

This build does NOT support SLI. and the Evo can reach 4.0 on the i5 but, with high temps.  Go for something like the Cryorig h5 Universal or the ThermalTake Lucifer(even better) which'll keep it around 60C on normal load.

Do NOT choose Sickleflow without a good resistor.  They are very noisy.

That works.  You should buy a second 140mm for the front then.  Two 140mm in the front, rad in the top, 120mm in the rear.

This is decent as well:  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA66Z29F0448&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

I must have been looking here where it did not:

Landwing, the Intels are fast, even at stock.  I have my i5 3570K still at stock speed(3.5GHz).  I have not played a game where I needed a faster CPU for better FPS.  I have stopped all MMOs though, but Tera ran great at stock speed.

The H110 by Corsair is at $102 presently, while being $6 more expensive, it is definitely recommended by more people and is a 280mm rad as opposed to the Raijintek 240mm.
