Hey there, on Bitcoin and litecoin mining rigs you often see 6+ GPU's running, this is done by using an adapter and then adding excess power, my question is, if this is done, is it possible to SLI/Crossfire them? For example if I had 6 980's or 6 R9 290X's?

Just a thought, and I've never known the answer to it ;P

I don't think it exists in traditional SLI methods.

SLI/Xfire only support up to 4 GPU's.

Would it ever be implemented for more than 4 GPU's do you think?

they are not running in SLI/XFIRE, they use programms to utilize all of them, like in render farms

I know they're not in SLI in Bitcoin rigs, nor was I suggesting that, I was just wondering if it is possible.
