How to Change Your YouTube Channel Name (Not URL)

Nirmal

So I heard Linus mention on the last livestream WAN Show that the "q" in "Techquickie" was annoying him, so I thought that I would make a quick video showing how to change that. Note: The URL does not change. So if anybody wanted to change their name here is a way that you can do that.

Warning: I sound young because... I am.

Yeah, I think that this happened around the time that YouTube started asking to use your real name.

Just one second off gourd took me to connect my youtube account with google+ (basically creating google+ account), was successfully avoiding that for months. After that magical change, my Inbox disappeared, my emails was in messy categories, and just to find out latter that you need to go to video manager in order to look in inbox. For categories, it was in settings somewhere, not a big deal, but inbox is still not there... gg google....  :)

Anyways, useful info ;).

Are you typing on MX Blues? :)

Hehe, yeah. I thought about switching it out for my membrane so the clicks would not be picked up by the microphone, then I realized how lazy I am. lol

Not everyone's channel is a part of google+. One of my channels is pointedly disconnected from ggogle+ as it has a tendency to break YouTube even more than it already is

I am good at computer
