Witcher 3 Performance for GTX 780 / Updated drivers and patches included

Medic47

Hey guys and gals, I've been waiting a while and was wanting to know how the 780 performs with Witcher 3. I read that the game has been patched to 1.04 and the latest drivers for Nvidia is 352.86. Does any one have a GTX 780? If so, how is the performance? What settings and benchmarks are expected for having a i7 4770K and 1440p Monitor?

If anyone can show me any sites that have updated benchmarks or if anyone has similar specs let me know. I really want to play this game!

Specs are on my profile.

I use Geforce Ecoerience reccomended settings at 1440p and most settings are on medium but i get 55fps average and the game still looks amazing.

That's about as much into detail as I care to go into...hopethis helps.

I've been reading that Hairworks and foliage is really intense on any GPU. Thanks for  the feedback

I've got everything on Ultra except for Shadows and some Foliage/Grass Density settings which I've turned down to High. I've also been running with HairWorks on Geralt only. I've been hovering around the ~45 FPS range which has been good enough for me.

EDIT: Oops, I missed the part in the OP about 1440p. I'm at 1080p, so I guess that doesn't help too much.

I have a 4770k+780, i have most things on ultra with Hairworks off and foliage/grass turned down one notch i think. I get some harsh drops sometimes in super crowded areas but overall its generally in the 50's. Its a pretty slow moving game anyway so im happy and think it looks gorgeous :)

Appreciate the feedback, might go for it then and put things on mostly high settings

Hes talking about the 780 not the 980!

The bug for the kepler card is still in play ... No driver fix yet.

Even the 960 performs better then the 780

Be happy with 45fps on high at 1080p

Let's agree to disagree
