lovingGamer

Do you own MSI R9 280X, if you do please tell me it's temperature on load. While playing games..

I know what you are about to say, but i'm having a guess that my GPU was used before.

My friend that has MSI R9 280X get's hot around 70-72C Max while paying BF4, and mine get's 76C to 77C, Same settings same everything. even case.

Just because you have the same case, doesn't mean you have the same fan curve. Set fan curves up for your GPU and case.

who cares, them temperatures are fine. start worrying when it gets to 90c. graphics cards are built to be like that.

if you are that worried, maybe try setting a fan curve for your gpu.

yeah, fan curve really helps.

I have putted it like this: 30C = 10% FAN SPEED

                                      50C = 30% FAN SPEED

                                      60C = 40% FAN SPEED

                                      70C = 55% FAN SPEED

                                      75C = 65% FAN SPEED

Works great, but someone told me that, FAN curve can shorten GPU life span. If it runs 40-50% faster..

So i changed it to default.

shorten the lifespan of the gpu from 10 years to 7 years. so it takes away 3 years.

That just an example, normally the fans will outlive your card by many many years.

You can test your GPU fans by spinning it, it need to spin freely like in this video.

and not like this video
