Corsair Carbide 100R (Windowed Edition) Unboxing and Review

I decided to go with the Corsair Carbide 100R for my first PC build. I personally think that the case is good value for money and is great for a beginner to build their PC in. The Corsair Carbide 100R came with a basic pack of screws and zip ties to help organise and route the many cables which come tucked away behind the motherboard tray and their are many ways to manage your cabling behind the motherboard tray. The Corsair Carbide 100R came with 2 optical drive bays and 4 hard drive mounts which was more than enough for the PC build I am currently doing. Their is also room for up to 5 fans which was more than enough for what I was planning in the build. The thumbscrews make it easier to open and close the case. In my opinion, I like the simple design of the case, it's very minimalistic in design which is what I like.

However, you can not remove the optical drive bays if you are not using them, I will probably never use them. Also, with the side panel on, you can see the PSU and drive bays and mounts which, (I may be being picky here) I would prefer not to see through the window.

Overall, I really like the case. I like the simple design and the finish it has. I think it will look great when I finish putting all of the parts in for my first PC build (I will make a build log when I've finished making it) which is going to have a red and black colour scheme and when I save up enough money I'm going to look into some LED strips to go in the case.

The case looks like a good deal. But the ugly optical drive bays in the front are a big deal breaker to me.

I know such a pain that they had to be in view through the window. It would be so good if you could remove them. Or, at least the one you can see through the window.

lol @ copying B Roll's intro.

Inspiration. B Roll does a better job than I could ever do. ;):)

What fans did you use and where did you put them? I'm using the same case and a similar build but I'm stuck on what fans to use.
