Bob's Burgers is not really as accessible as The Simpsons or Family Guy.

While the humour on The Simpsons and Family Guy is pretty universal, the humour on Bob's Burgers is pretty much a love it or hate it thing.

I find Bob's Burgers boring when there's no "comedy" and when there is, it's amazingly forced.

As addressed above, both Family Guy & The Simpsons are really accessible, here in Australia The Simpsons, Futurama & Family Guy are probably the most played and replayed animated shows. Also The Simpsons are now into their 27th season this year, their longevity really has given them that foothold to be more known and thus more liked over all.

 

Bob's Burgers is okay. I would say it's my least favourite of the animated shows I watch. For a show coming into its 6th season it some how still feels it's trying to find the right balance. I dunno, maybe that is just me.

I like Bob's Burgers, it's good for a chuckle. I dont think it is quite as good as the Simpsons or Family Guy, but still decent. 

 

I thought King of the Hill was underrated.

Yes. God yes! One the outside it appears like a dumb show but it was really genius. I agree.

 

Also Daria, I never appreciated it when it first came out, re-watched it last year. It really was a great show imo.

I absolutely hate the new Simpsons. I want to throw myself off a bridge listening to their attempts at humor. Family Guy still has its moments but it shouldn't be compared to The Simpsons yet. American Dad is a lot better.

 

I've been meaning to give Bob's Burgers a chance. I hear it is a lot like Archer. Is that true?

well.. bob is archer... ie the voice actor is the same.

I love Kirsten Schall in anything she does. whether its last man on earth, her appearances on the daily show or @Midnight the way she handles herself is awesome. and to pair her with eugene mirman is a great pairing, they're so ridiculous

 

Simpson's has just absolutely been on cruise control for almost a decade its a sad show.

 

I've heard a lot of good things about rick and morty. I might pick that up soon.

I can't watch bobs burgers for too long before I have the temptation of re watching episodes of archer.

I've never watched archer so I don't know if they are similar, but Bob's burgers is a really good series (except season 1, that's meh... forced jokes, the episodes stories are not well thought, and the characters are not really developed)

 

But from s2 it gets better every episode.

I liked the first four seasons of Bob's Burgers, but I stopped watching about halfway through Season 5 as I wasn't finding it enjoyable anymore.

 

It's hard to compare it to shows like The Simpsons or Family Guy, because they're all different kinds of humour. Bob's Burgers is a little more overdone and dry humour, The Simpsons is (or was, back in the day) more pop culture references and wacky hijinks, and Family Guy is offensive "humour". Different strokes and all that. There's also the fact that Bob's Burgers only has like five seasons under it's belt, compared to the combined 41 seasons of the other two.

 

Also, if you want to talk underrated animated shows, I've gotta put my vote in for Rick and Morty. September needs to hurry the hell up and bring me Season 2.

Its okay, some of its funny, some of its boring. I guess I just dont like the characters as much 

 

I watched it because of Archer but I much preferred that show
