We all know that windows 10 will be free for the first year; but what will the cost be after the year expires?   :unsure:

windows 10 will be free for anyone who wants to upgrade (from win 7 and 8) within 1 year of the release date.  after 1 year of the release, you will have to buy it

 

I asking what will the cost be after that year.  / What will the cost be for pirates?

MY Opinion:

 

I believe that the cost for Windows 10 will be around $50 - $60. Its not a weeks pay for students, and its not more than an AAA title.

I think you misunderstood it slightly. Windows 10 will be free forever if you upgrade from windows 7/8.1 within the first year, so as long as you claim it, you never have to pay anything for it.

However, for retail copies, I think it will probably end up being $40-$60.

First off, it's an OS not a piece of art.

 

Second, in leaked build 10125 the icons are new.

 

Did we forget this is a preview (aka beta), not a RTM?
