The iron dome they are thinking of making over the city in Israel, that's not an actual physical dome of iron, right?

That's what my global teacher said...

no, a large number of anti rocket/missel defense system. it blows rockets/missles out of the air by collicion with another rocket/missle. the system is one of the best in the world which is why such a small number ever hit their target. 

 

dubed the iron dome due to the fact is near impenetrable.

Like a physical dome made of iron....

That would be nearly physically impossible. At the very least, highly impractical and pointless (as in it wouldn't really work unless it was extraordinarily thick)

 

The Iron dome is their air defense network.

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs

Yeah we saw apic like this, but my global teacher said it was an actual dome made of iron over the city...

She might have been trolling, similar thing happened to me in biologly like years ago, my teacher at the time made up this: if some kind of animal died next to a tree, than that tree would absorb the DNA of the dog and get features of the dog such as fur. She had so many better ones but I can't think of them atm. Must be fun trolling.

seen it in action, I currently live there/here and it's some pretty clever engineering. As was said it's an anti-missile missile system. It's control system is actually divided into zones, the moment it registers a rocket it calculates it's path and impact area. If that area is out in the sea/desert (in a region where nobody will be hurt) it doesn't intercept it. this is to save missiles as they are bloody expensive.

We still needed to hit the shelter though as even the debris of both missile still falls and occasionaly is bigger than one would hope and can cause damage.

I sincerly hope she was trolling, although in my opinion it's just as bad as teaching something incorrect. Especially on matters like this - you wouldn't belive the amount of missinformation that was spread all over the media locally and worldwide from all sides - it's appaling
