290x w/ multiple 12V rails?

I heard it's bad to power a high-power consuming card like to 290x with multiple 12 volt rails on the psu, is that true? I am currently looking at the EVGA 750w 80+ Bronze PSU.

Multiple rails are fine.

That's a myth, multiple rails are not only fine they're actually a safety feature. It only becomes a problem when you get a shitty PSU that can't provide enough power for the GPU on the rail where it has the 8 and 6 pin connectors.

I checked your PSU and it is 100% fine.

Don't get the EVGA 750B or NEX as they are not very good. The B2 is the one you want. If you only plan on running a single 290X then you only need 550W anyway.

Which one? There's two of them.

If it's NEX750B, it's not a good PSU. The 750B2 is the one you want.
