Playing with some Awesome Hardware

So I started my new job tonight and I got to work with some very cool stuff. Using a multi-million dollar testing machine to work with a processor that costs $20k even getting to validate it at -55c and 120c. And no none of this is consumer stuff.

I was thinking IBM stuff or Intel Itanium.

Are Itanium's the last Gen Xeons or something? Can't find any Info about it online, and why it's as expensive as the 18 Core monster Linus got...
