The R9 280 is worse than the GTX 770, and much worse than the GTX 780. It's more inline with the GTX 760/GTX 960.

I believe a 770 is slightly worse, depending on the game

yes GTX 770 = 280  < 285 <  280x

A GTX 770 is equal to an R9 280X though.

The GTX 680 and HD 7970 were literally direct competitors. The performance gap between them wasn't big at all, it was very small and seemingly based on optimizations and VRAM.

The GTX 680 and HD 7970 were literally direct competitors and had less than a 5% performance difference most of the time.

true the difference is miniscule but there is a diffrence

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

770/960/R9 280x are all very close in performance

This.

A 770 = 280X

Not in all games, but I'm sure its just in raw performance or something.
