About those indie games...

VG Docs

Everyone complains about them, then someone makes one with purdy graphics and no one complains. O.o

What do you guys think about this one? I think if the gameplay's actually done well I can get past the silly animations and stuff.

WHen do people actually complain about indie games?

People generally don't care about them, or love them. I have not seen much of inbetween that..

But this game looks decent now.. But is it pre rendered though? :P

Indie games are great, they are not forced by huge companies to alter the game because it doesn't "meet their vision". Indie games can take risks and sometimes they pay off, sometimes they don't. Some of my favourite games of all time are indie: super meat boy, kerbal space program, papers please, FTL. On the topic of this game, it sure looks really nice, however I'm not really into the survival sort of games which it looks like.

Maybe it's just the community I'm involved with. Every time there are more than 2 indie games free for PS+, people constantly complain and hate in the comments.

It doesn't look like it to me. I mean, it seems to actually lag there at the beginning .xD

The only people who complain about indie games are the console peasants

Well the last time I looked at PS+ (or was in a community that cared about PS+), there was just a lot of Xbox Live free games vs. PS+..

And yeah, they say in the beginning it is suppose to be a live game and it indeed does lag a bit at the beginning.. :P

As a 'peasant' I never complained about it..

And most other 'peasants' I know, have never heard of many indie games..

Except for Minecraft

The animations remind me so much of Far Cry

Meh. Looks like another type of survive/build game. Like DayZ (though there isn't much building there, I guess), Rust, etc...

Only this time with dunnisoors!

I do love quite a few indie games though. I mention them quite often, but Klei has done some great things. The only "survival/build" game I've ever really liked is Don't Starve.
