Argchlein One Plan

So I'm plotting my first full-fledged build, the Argchlein One.

This is the plan:

 

budget: $450

 

mobo: GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-USB3 $69.99

Totalling $389.99

 

I have everything else I need (case, psu, hdd) but if my part-time summer job yields more than I think it will (i'm underestimating it a lot to avoid getting my hopes too high) then I might throw in an SSD and a shiny new case.

 

Would this build work for modern-day gaming? I followed the GTA V guide on the LTT Youtube page to pick the GPU.

I'm upgrading because my current system absolutely sucks (an athlon 64 x2 for cryin' out loud) and I'm lucky to get something out of Crysis 2 at 720p. I fear that GTA V may not even be feasible.

this would work on mordern games just dont think you can max every game you are going to play.

As far as my input though, as @Tedster says, please use PCPartpicker, as also, go with an Intel build. AMD isn't a very good option at the moment, but hopefully Zen will be change that. Will be back with a build. How large is that PSU of yours, and what brand (model number if you could, please)?

 

EDIT1: Also noticed that you forgot to include RAM.. you're going to have a bad day without RAM.

I have several different types of RAM here but I'll add that to the shopping list if necessary.

I can't tell, it's stock.

PC Part Picker was being weird. it's working now though so i'll definitely plug my revised plan in.

 

So, go for Intel instead of AMD, add RAM, get a better motherboard. Got it. Thanks guys.
