Quick Noob Question

So, in a camera there are many components. If you have a $2000 studio grade 1080p beast and a 1080p camcorder, what's the difference? I understand that many components come into factor so yeah... (this is excluding internal microphones)

Thanks,

Nub Pie_Tech

a higher quality sensor could have more accurate colours, better optics, higher framerates, uncompressed video output, more image options, more sharpness, etc...

The sensor and the optics, but mostly the optics, good quality glass is expensive.

Mainly the sensor.  Many components, like you said.. but the sensor is the big one.

sensor quality, bit rate, storage solution's, max FPS, compatability with lenses and other things(like external monitors) in and out puts, and more things like that.

May the light have your back and your ISO low.

Yea don't underestimate professional connections such as SDI, XLR and the like. Some studio cameras don't record to memory cards so you need an external recorder.
