1 of my orders is cancelled. Still have another in. Maybe it'll go through? lol

It was $225 when this was posted. It was a pricing error though.

Like 10 people on HWS said their orders were all cancelled, some guy was trying to sell a 4790k for $230 on there and some guy posted the link, buncha people crucified him LOL

I would buy that 4790k. That's a sweet price.

That probably is their cost since the margin is very small. Microcenter sells at a loss.

they've got more than 15% margin on bulk purchasing. to be competitive and

profitable at the end of the year, their cost is more like 30%/$227.50 or less.

large retailers would not be around using 15% margins.

I just noticed NCIX has the 4790k listed at like $380~....so I guess $300 cost would make sense there. Although that still doesn't seem right considering everyone else sells it for $330 tops. I find it hard to believe NCIX gets that shitty of a margin.

Even with small margins, $300 doesn't seem right.

intel retail MSRP is $350 for retail boxed, NCIX can make up any retail they want,

but still doesn't change the discounting. they'd either get a discount off MSRP

(unlikely) or use a retailer bulk rate (less than 30% off retail). so they don't get

a crappy margin, they need the extra margin to operate.

I understand all that; I'm not the one claiming their cost is $300, that's NCIX themselves.
