Posted May 2, 2015 Author The problem is that patching existing aeroplanes is not that easy. I'm no aviation expert, but I would have thought installing a patch would be as easy and if Boeing provides it, the airlines can easily install it themselves Part of the Q6600 club
 Posted May 2, 2015 You don't need electronics to fly the aircraft. The rudder, flaps, gear, etc and all be operated manually. Depends on the aircraft iirc the 787s flight controls are mostly electronic Are you new? Please read CoC Before posting! Posted May 2, 2015 There has to be a backup. I can't imagine it going through the design phase without multiple redundant systems. There is a backup (axillary power unit) but its actual initial design was to provide power when the engines aren't running (and to start the engines). It can be used to restart the engines in flight though.
Posted May 2, 2015 If a maintenance team is stupid enough to leave their planes on this long, then the plane will probably fall out of the sky long before this bug is an issue. "Normandy" i7 4790K - GTX 970 - Phantom 410 (Gun metal) - Z97 Extreme4 (asrock) - 128GB Crucial SSD - 1TB WD HDD - H60 Refurb. - 7 case fans | G710+ Keyboard, G230 Headset, Acer GN246HL Monitor.Quick thoughts on system: I7 is extremely quick and I'm glad I spent the extra for hyper-threading. I regret my decision to get the GTX 970, it has horrible coil whine. There isn't any excuse for this terrible whine I and others are having. I HIGHLY recommend a 144hz monitor. Future Improvements/upgrades: Rubber fan mounts, basic speakers, more ram (for a total of 16gb), replace GPU. 144hz is love. 144hz is life. I like to submit unfinished posts then do about 20 edits. I like the Night Theme too.
Posted May 2, 2015 If the aircraft is just doing a charter flight it will not power down at the airport. It will land, idle, refuel, and take off. Don't say we need to shut down the aircraft because that's not true. The flash point of jet fuel is very high IIRC (and it smells sweet). Watch this video. Posted May 3, 2015 Yup. And the pilot's seat is more comfortable than mine on the aircraft. And what is Non-er? If you have to ask what a Non-er is... "Shortened form of Non Sortie Producing Mother------ Term created by the "working" side of the U.S. Air Force. A sortie is one take-off and landing of an aircraft. Those that don't work on the flightline do not produce sorties and are thus labelled nonners." I never said that, and you don't need to be a smart ass about it. Even so, 248 days is a damn long time. If it makes you feel better he is a 1A331... He barely knows what he is on about. Brand new to the Air Force, A1C, and a Flier.
