Hey guys!

 

So, I've recently bought some new parts for a new build I am doing. It's going to be my first PC that I'll be building completely; my last build was a bunch of upgrades to an old Dell PC. I ordered a bunch of parts from Amazon, including an i5-4690 @ 3.9 GHz. My package finally came today along with many other parts, and I was super excited to finally get the build started. I opened up my Amazon box, and I grabbed from my CPU first (obviously). My jaw dropped when I noticed that I was not given an 4690; I was given an i7-4790 @ 3.6 GHz. I even checked the CPU just in case it was put in the wrong box. Nope, I have an i7 for the price of an i5. I guess today is my lucky day. What do you guys think?

I have the 4790K and its a beast, you'll certainly enjoy your 4790.

 

Very powerful CPU. I'm totally glad I moved from my 8150 AMD CPU to the 4790K.

We were both so shocked when we pulled that i7 out of the amazon box , emily's reaction was priceless , she sprinted like the length of her house in 10 seconds flat lol

Heck yeah, I don't blame ya. I definitely will enjoy it, and I won't have to do an upgrade in the future now unless I want the 5820 or something for streaming purposes. I look forward to testing it out! :)

BTW don't the i7-4790k speed starts at 4.0?

locked 4790 is 3.6ghz :)
