2 Sapphire 7950 Boost cards for 175 USD a good deal?

Just came by them on Craigslist.  Here is a link to the exact model.  I currently have an R9 280 that is the same card and is in the return window so I can return it and get 2 of the same card for less.

I've really stopped caring about the whole mining thing.  It's been proven that if it didn't blow the fan bearings then it doesn't really have a greatly negative effect.

Yes people, cards that are used for mining may very well have shorter lifespans, but that's also if they were run irresponsibly. Most miners regulate and monitor temps, undervolt and even underclock to lose some performance for the sake of stability.

I was excited to find it.  I do hear the line about mining said every single time an AMD card comes up.  I swear if I found a 295x2 in perfect condition for 20 bucks someone would say ask for less because of mining.

Lol, true that. Get it, that's a sick deal. If they don't work out, most people seem pretty nice about everything.

 

I've got an R9 270X. Got it for $100 a few months back, I'm sure it was mined off of, and it works brilliantly.

ahhh..... But still....they could recoup more money than that for 2 7950 cards. $200 EASY on ebay. I sat even more than that. A 7850 is likely to go for around $75 so.... yea you're getting a good deal.

Super deal on that....the 7950 IMHO was one of the best GPU's that AMD rolled out.  Since they are out of warranty, grab some thermal pads and TIM, crack 'em open and replace if needed :)
