What do you guys expect AMD to pump out this year?

Do you think it will be better than the 980 TI coming out?

Will it save AMD?

Want to know what you guys think about 2015 GPUS :D

AMD don't really need saving. The gpu line-up this year and next are looking monstrous, and their CPU line-up in 2016 is looking insane as well. What AMD need is better marketing, because their current effort is undermined by Nvidia and Intel's viral marketing techniques.

Do you think They can pump out a single GPU that out preforms the R9 295x2?

Im pretty sure companies already have more powerful dveices that are like 10x stronger that what we have right now but wont release because of marketing purposes

I have no doubts that the new single gpu's will wrech the R9 295X2 when it comes to price to performance that's for sure.

This is a thing with CPU's for sure because they have to make one and then give it to motherboard manufactures to develop the support for them.

But the thing with CPU's is that its getting smaller and harder to cram so much crap into one little square, their going to hve to reinvent it sooner or later

Supposedly they are announcing the 390x at E3, so we may find out then. Given the increase in shaders alone, the 390x should match or beat a 295x2. Add in lossless compression, HBM and their 3rd (or 4th?) Iteration of GPU hyper-threading (aka asynchronous shaders), and things may or may not be insanely interesting.

Intel and there marketing game is strong. Every laptop advert on TV or electronic sale that has a PC and/or Mac featured in it is followed by that Intel jingle at the end. Plus the swooshey blue bit. If AMD got themsilves an easy to remember jingle or small TV advert, they'd bring in some buyers.

Our Father Birb has taught us with His humble heart and gentle wing the way of the bob. Let us show Him our reverence and follow in His example. I'm expecting the new amd flagship to be slightly faster than the titan x, so if the 980 Ti is a full GM200 core, and the board partners have the green light to do custom board/cooling, they will be very close to each other.

lol how?

The Titan X is allready a fully unlocked GM200 chip.

The GTX980 Ti will definitely not be faster then the Titan X.

In fact, i personaly think that the 980TI will be build from fraulty GM200 chips, with some disabled units. :).

AMD might also have a bermuda XTX rabbit in their hats...

But yeah who knows? :P

that's what I thought too, but then I heard yesterday that 390x launch would be a few days after computex, at E3. Maybe its at both, for better exposure. Or maybe the 395x2 VR is going to be E3 because its meant for VR and Oculus. I guess we'll find out.

Stop your making me want to sell my 2 R9 290X's as soon as the new GPU's come out, I don't want to become a graphics card snob.

With custom boards and cooling, they will simply be able to clock the core higher, and with a full core, better performance (unlikely that 6GB would be enough of a bottleneck to overcome pure clock speed). The titanx is currently limited to 10% extra power limit and the connector setup only allows 300 watts. However I also think it's possible that 980Ti will be a cut down GM200, it's a big chip and it's quite possible they have a few defective ones that they could cut down.

i really wish for more real cutting edge games(graphically) like witcher 3 and star citizen to drive some competition.

I'm not really sure if amd releasing 390x being similar performance to 980 ti will do them enough, unless they do amazing job with marketing, It somewhat sounds less amazing by the day and if 390x will be their sleeve of aces, it will not be enough, since nvidia will likely just release next series, or can dump the rumored 980 ti and a 990.

i really hope AMD pulls something amazing and revolutionary, but i doubt that and nvidia seems more laid back than ever, i don't imagine guys at nvidia worrying about it, considering how much market share they've gained. really hope its not too little too late from red team.

cpu wise... I'm fairly skeptical too, if its just a MOAR CAORES MAWR RAWRRRR strategy, with weak single core performance... yes dx12 and mantle and all that, but lets be honest single core performance will be very useful for a god while... if they release some good single core performance with good upgrade path for the chipset you invest in, not dead end AM3+, with good enthusiast grade CPUs it'd be a winner, but will they? I lost faith really. it sounds like a nice APU, not a great CPU.

i just want a kick ass monster enthusiast grade line from AMD. If  they rehash FX series one more time...It's not even funny at this point honestly.
