Can some one please leave me a link for a 960 4gb for close to 250$? Preferably Gigabyte G1 gaming. Thank I couldn't seem to find one.

960 for $250 is a huge ripoff when this is $240 http://pcpartpicker.com/part/sapphire-video-card-1003623l

$250 is way too high in terms of a GTX 960, even for a high end model.

because why not?

$240 vs $270 not that much more

Well, that is $239.99 after waiting two months for a rebate versus $269.99 after waiting two months for a rebate.

Upfront, you're still shelling out $20/$30 more.

DirectCU II 290/X sucks, which is why it's so cheap. Tri-X is actually a great cooler (personally owned one before), while the Tri-X 290X is $315, $75 more for a factory OC and better chip binning. Even the TurboDuo 290X is already $300.

For what ever card I get I'll have to buy a new power supply too.

Eh, that depends. GTX 960 is a 120W card, so it may be fine on your unit. What is your build, including the PSU?

Agreed. No one even explained why the 960 might not work, nor did anyone except SLS probe as to OPs other components to figure out if a 960 made more sense (since it has such low power requirements, might make sense in a mini ITX build). Its like people get paid based on how many times they say R9 290.

Shit, do I get money now too?

you need to explain why 960 is a bad decision before you can suggest a different card, Basic manners 101.
