Do I need the apostrophe in my name?

Zach's Tech Tips

hey linus community, on a recent topic I made someone said my name did not need this apostrophe, is this true?

Off Topic: Shouldn't you name not include the punctuation? Doesn't that mean Zach is Tech Tips?

I think he is right. Just like it's translates to it is. If you want possessive, I think it would be "its" instead.

EDIT:

I meant the guy quoted in the OP.

That implies there are two Zachs or that the "S" is in his name.

The way you have it now is correct.

Hmm, I am interested now.

I thought Zach's would be correct. Zach would be the name, the 's would mean possessive. Unless your name is actually Zachs, in which case possessive would  be Zachs'. (I think.)

By itself Zach's could mean possessive or 'Zach is', language can be ambiguous like that.

I think your name is right with the apostrophe, if your name is Zach.

As it is now Zach's tech tips means that they are your tech tips.

Linus tech tips should I think really be Linus' Tech tips to say it are Linus' tips.

But what do I know English isn't my native language.

apostrophe is used to show possession

"Alex's computer" for example, so you are right to have it

The apostrophe is correct.

The apostrophe, mean it belong to you.

For instance Noble's computer. Meaning I own the computer.

It's correct.
