I Don't understand how I can overclock the snot out of my 970 and run 3dmark all day trying to beat my best score. I can play shadow of mordor, metro redux, and farcry 4 on ultra no sweat but I can not run skyrim. YES, SKYRIM OF ALL GAMES. I cannot run it for more than 30 minutes without it crashing my entire computer. first the screen goes black, next the audio cuts out, then my computer restarts, finally I get back to the desktop and there is NOTHING no error report or "windows shut down unexpectedly" nope, nada, zip, zilch, zero, NOTHING. my pc just goes about its little pc business with its little silicon brain and stuff like "nope I don't know what you are talking about I didn't just shut down or anything". Can someone please point me in the right direction on this one because I am like 4.3 seconds away from putting my pc in a damn blender.

Is your Cpu overclocked?

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

Some games just hate certain overclocks...

All my games run fine when my CPU is at 4.7Ghz EXCEPT Counter Strike. It happens.

Have you installed any mods? also try verifying the game files

It's like comparing a top of the line 2015 sports car with an old, beaten up japanese import that is running a turbo almost as big as the engine itself. Sure it can technically run as fast but the efficiency it's just not there and it's prone to complete and massive failure.

Downtune on the grass mods, remove all unecessary script heavy mods (Sometimes is not worth to hurt performance and kill PCs just to have all guards wearing winter cloaks or characters leaving realistic dynamic footprints in the snow) and retry. Don't overclock if you are as others mention.

You would think Ubisoft would support the Bulldozer based architectures more given their digging themed names like bulldozer, Piledriver, Steamroller and Excavator.
