Intel Core i5 4690k vs AMD A10 7850k

I'm planning to build a pc and i'm confused whether i should go for an i5 4690k or AMD's A10 7850k. Also i'm going to pair it with my GTX 750Ti.

Which processer will be good for both casual gaming and daily uses?

Intel wins in this case. The A10s are not really meant to go alongside a dedicated GPU.

i5.

You should only think about the A10 CPU if you were not going for a dedicated GPU.

I can't disagree with the A10 except for one thing. the 4690 is a better chip, and it can be upgraded..... What has the A10 got afterwards?

Bruh, i5-4690K rapes A10-7850K. i5 is way stronger than A10 (for CPU, for integrated graphics A10 wins).

In real world applications like Windows/Windows Software/Apps, both are capable (esp paired with an SSD) you would hardly EVER know the difference unless the program called for some serious CPU horsepower (Photoshop n such CPU heavy hitters), in Games however that crave a fast CPU/GPU combination, the i5 will wipe the floor with the 7850K, not that the 7850K wont give you playable performance,.. but the upgrade path after that,... when you find it slow and boring and not keeping up... well your stuck with the AM2+ 7850K and it has no upgrade path. Thats the best the AM2+ range has to offer. OC'ing will not make up the slowness either.

On top of that...

The i5/Intel Mobo has plenty of bigger brothers you can use on it, but you won't need to anyway,..

Because

Intel's PER core performance is 1.6x the strength of AMD's (in todays games that can means a hell of a lot more performance (heavy shadowed areas, huge particle scenes and heavy CPU calculation work) from the i5 when games only plan to use 70-100% of 1-2 cores, then you want the best PER-core strength CPU you can get to maximize the gaming potential for those lightly threaded titled (there are so many games out there, get the best CPU for all of them)....the i5 will keep you happy for YEARS.

Thanks you guys for your help. Really appreciate it. i5 it is! :D

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

I think I see a trend here but I can't seem to pick it out, does it have to do something with I5.

Lets put it this way, Lamborghini or Honda Fit?

I'd rather drive the Honda because I hate the look of Lambos.

What CPU do you have right now?

Try and balance your rig before buying any of these.

Both are good, in everyday use plus gaming. But the i5 is a way better cpu than the A10 that's why is almost double the price.

Now, If you pick the i5 you might.... you might bottleneck the CPU(i5) with that low end GPU.

I would go with I5, for me A10 would make sense only if you are on a budget or building something like htpc or something that doesn't need a lot of power, dedicated gpu

I am sorry for my english.
