INTRO

Alright, a little backstory on this. I got this to replace my Corsair 300R, since it fell flat in more than one area for me. First of all, that thing was loud. I’m using the same fans as before, and my computer is quieter in this case. Second, size. Sure, a smaller case is nice, but this case gives you 8 expansion slots, which means you can shove 3 dual-slot graphics cards in here and have them all be fairly happy. Third, cable management. My god does this thing have insanely good cable management compared to the 300R. And I guess lastly, looks. Even though the 300R looks pretty nice IMO, I find this to look a bit better (cleaner, I guess is the proper word).

GENERAL OVERVIEW

For I/O you have 2 USB 3.0 and 2 USB 2.0 ports, headphone and microphone jacks, as well as a reset button (all of which hidden under a door at the front of the case at the top). There’s 3 5.25” bays, 8 3.2/2.5” bays, and 1 2.5” drive caddy behind the motherboard tray. You also have 8 rear expansion slots, which is nice to have, and the covers are slotted for air.

LOOKS

The case has a fake brushed finish on black plastic, fairly heavy sidepanels, and a pained interior with a PSU cover. The two Plexiglas sidepanel windows are tinted, and scratch somewhat easy. The front I/O is covered by a nice door, and the side vents on the front panel are slits on an angle, which look fairly nice. The color match is pretty good overall, but the metal bits attract finger oils very easy, while the plastic bits are a bit more resistant.

STOCK FANS

I can not speak too much on them, since I found they were too noisy for me, but others may not find them to be an issue. Out of case, they move a fairy good amount of air though.

COOLING

Pretty much every spot for a fan has a filter other than the side vents on the front panel and the rear fan. So yeah. Rear fan can be moved up and down, and top fans can be moved side to side. Here are the fan sizes and locations:

Rear fan: 120 or 140mm

Top: 3x 120 or 3x 140mm (I can imagine any thin enough radiator can fit perfectly)

Front: 2x 120 or 2x 140mm

Bottom  120 or 140mm (I think, either way it’s limited by your PSU.

SIDE PANELS/WINDOWS

The sidepanels are pretty heavy coming from a 300R, and they don’t slide on, but rather “hinge” on. Once in place with the screws and rubber isolators, they do not rattle. At all. However, the side panel windows do seem to scuff up pretty easy, so be careful on that.

CONCLUSION

Overall, I feel like this case is worthy of the $100 USD price tag it bore when I got it. It’s a really nice case, it can be easily modded (even though I don’t want to), and it has plenty of watercooling and storage options. However, I would like for the rubber on the thumbscrews to be a bit better quality (mine fell off the screws after having them screwed in for a month), and to also have enough of them to go on the expansion brackets for things like video cards. And this isn’t a thing for the case, but PLEASE PHANTEKS. SELL THE FAN CONTROL MODULE+CABLE. I want to get another one, but you have to get one in a plastic case which won’t fit in my rig. -_-

Wait, wait, what? For $100?!?!?

This thing is GREAT for that price tag. Wow I'm impressed, and great review. That closeup of the finish is great.

Pretty good review.

I can understand why people like this case, cause you get a lot for your money, but man... I hate the front of the case. In my opinion 5 1/4 drive bays should not limit your cooling options and it looks so ugly.

That's why I like the H440 and Air 540 much more. Triple 120mm in the front  :)

Yeah, one of the best cases I ever used. But it needs good case fans, otherwise you can hear it from 10 miles away.

It was between this and a Define R4. So happy I went this route. And there's a PSU cover. xD

I have the fans out of one in my case. Louder than my PSU fan. All 3 of them are at 500RPM, as I recall.

The plastic case on the fan controller can be removable, the bare PCB is the same one included with the case.

The 140 mm fans are as loud as noctua fans (I own both of them).

I just got my Enthoo Luxe the other day. :) I've got one warning for everyone though. The side panels scratch VERY easily. I'm considering replacing the window with glass. Be wary of this.

Have you tested the fans? How loud are they?

Welcome to the Enthoo club.

I've been a part since like January. Don't intend on leaving any time soon.

The plastic case on the fan controller can be removable, the bare PCB is the same one included with the case.

The 140 mm fans are as loud as noctua fans (I own both of them).

Oh goodie. But I don't think mine are as quiet as Noctua fans. Mine are louder than those Corsair ones I have.

I just got my Enthoo Luxe the other day. :) I've got one warning for everyone though. The side panels scratch VERY easily. I'm considering replacing the window with glass. Be wary of this.

Yes they do. Lens wipes have scratched my windows.

Have you tested the fans? How loud are they?

For me, too loud. Louder than those Corsair fans that I have in it. Even though those don't seem to offer as much airflow.
