GTA V PC "Nervous Ron" mission bugged?

So I found another person with the issue and they said it was NVidia surround that causes the problem. Now I have to play the mission sideways... xD

Hey guys how do I fix this? I can't advance in the game because my "Nervous Ron" mission is bugged. I can't get the game to know that I see Ron. Anybody else have this issue?

Try zooming out and in on him.

Already tried. I've also tried restarting the mission, the game, strafing left and right... ugh ._.

I have Googled around a bit and haven't found anyone with the same problem.

Are you sure you bought the right sniper or something?

Are you sure you bought the right sniper or something? 

I'm pretty sure. If I have the same problem tomorrow I'm going to write a support ticket to rockstar. the menus and UI is messed up a bit since I am using portrait NV surround (which might not officially be supported)

I have the same issue. In fact, every mission that requires you to look at something will not work. I tried the paparazzi mission where you record the chick getting it in the pooper and it does not work. I am using NVidia surround, however since my frame rate sucks on triple screen with max settings, I run the resolution on 1920x1080p and my two outer monitors shut off. Also the phone is squished unless Im in first person, even when I tried running the game in triple screen. I really dont want to turn off the surround because it is just annoying to make that change with how it is setup. Did they ever come up with a fix for this?

After doing some more searching, I found a solution on reddit that works.

 

I just copied it from there.

I seem to be having the same issue too... Did you ever get around to solving it?...

Possible issue with latest update?

Edit: Actually I think I solved it,

It seems to be related to the skinny phone issue, go to graphic settings and change the game to windowed borderless and then everything should work fine, It's an issue that came with the latest update.

I just changed it to windows borderless to trigger the event, then switch back. Works WAY better than turning off surround or changing resolutions.
