I know Spotify exists but I am running out of bands to listen to. What would you recommend to listen to? Any particular favorites? I am looking for something similar to

SOAD

Serj tankian

In Flames

I'd appreciate recommendations :)

Personally, I'd call those Nu Metal rather than Heavy Metal, but nobody likes an argument about subgenres... :P

Anyway, Avatar comes to mind, I guess. That's the only Nu Metal band that sometimes shows up in my rotation.

EDIT: I'm not a huge fan of them, but maybe you'd like Five Finger Death Punch given the bands you'd listed.

Know most of them- metalcore isn't my thing apart from All that Remains. Thanks for refreshing finger Eleven, forgot about them completely!!

I recommend over 9000 and 69.  On a serious note it depends what you think heavy metal is as what I listened to as a teen definitely probably isn't what people consider heavy metal today.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

Cradle of filth is a joke. Poorly mixed, barely mastered garbage.

Heh, yeah, that's probably my favorite song by them.

Still, maybe I shouldn't have used that song as an example - their other songs tend to have more of those death metal growls. (which not everybody will like as much)

You clearly have no ear for music, that or you unfairly judge a band based on it's new stuff... which in that case, I'd agree, the new shit is terrible.

It might sound crap to you but others like it, preference is not a matter of discussion.

I'm talking from a production perspective... my opinion on the music behind it isn't in question. But there is barely any production value, it sounds like trash because of poor engineering.

The projects never end in my line of work.
