Damn.....GTA V .-.

Go to solution Solved by Levent,

for fucks sake ,what did you expect, 2 dvds ?

yeah but I don't think that consists of that large of the market regardless.

You'd be surprised. I don't know where you live, but here 7mb/s down is considered fast. We just recently got fiber, a whopping 30mb/s down. At least they said it's because it has just been implemented, theoretically there's no reason for the cables not to do 100mb/s in the future. Fingers crossed.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

They could be 2 blu rays, if enough people had a blu ray drive ^^

I wish that were the case, but unfortunately Sony are the gate-keepers of Blu-ray. If PC gamers got games on blu ray it would be because Sony let them out of the goodness of their hearts, or someone paid them enough to do it. Given Sony's interests here, it isn't going to happen.

30 mbps is around what I get. I have 50 so it's not bad. I used to have 10 mbps before hand so yeah I know the pain bruhv.

no

USBs and SSDs can keep data for decades without losing anything

Not according to this, if it's left for one year or two without being used your data will just disappear.

I would love to see games released on SD cards or USB sticks. In fact think about how much smaller the consoles could be if they didn't have to jam a disc drive into them (not that I own any console). I saw a tear down of the Xbox one and the disc drive is huge part of its overall size. I can see why console gamers and certain PC gamers still like physical media. (Luke himself stated so on the WAN show many times), well this would allow that still while allowing faster read speeds and less packaging.

And for those who don't have built in card readers, I have a USB 3 card reader that cost me £6 off amazon.
