your not going to find a gaming laptop for under 800, 1000$ is right where they start. 800$ gets you a nice I7 laptop, but no gpu

no, Im talking about most in general. watch what you buy, they are entry level gpus if any. that 840M will run new games maybe, but only really last years. let alone any tomorrows games.

use that website and check the GPUS of any of the laptops you look at, so you have realistic expectations  id look at lenovo, they have some decent gaming laptops for the price. they might have something in your price point. they look really nice to, but apparently theres been some build quality issues, so if you go that way, Make sure to get a long warranty

Not really gonna be playing Triple A titles that much.

What about this GT80 Titan? I mean, your title does say over $800. I'm fairly sure that this qualifies as being over $800. And trust me, it's a great buy. It also qualifies as being black or grey and having a 1920x1080 screen.

P.S. I know that he/she meant <$800, as in under $800, but I did this for the lols.

then for the most part your good! just want to make sure you dont have un-realistic expectations. my buddy dropped 1k on a laptop, and was mad it didnt keep up with my PC.

and like I mentioned, make sure to check the gpus on the benchmarks. build quailty can be a issue to, so make sure to look up as many reviews as you can of whatever one you consider.

lastely, if they do not have a SSD in them, that will make a world of diffrence. laptop drives are slower then desktop drives, so the difference is even more noticeable. set some money aside for one
