Are they just an average of what you can expect to see? my 970 SSC is boosting 77 mhz higher than spec (1419 mhz) not that i'm complaining lol.

I know with my last amd card the boost clock acted like a hard limit of sorts, it wouldn't go higher than that even though i had tons of headroom, does GPU boost 2.0 keep pushing beyond the advertised boost clock until it hits its temp target?

My rig:
CPU: i5 4690k 24/7 @4.4ghz (1.165v) Max 4.7ghz (1.325v) COOLER: NZXT Kraken X61 MOBO: Asus Z97-A   RAM: 16GB Crucial Ballistix Tactical   GPU: EVGA GTX 970 SSC   PSU: EVGA GS 650W   CASE: NZXT Phantom 530 HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB + WD Black 2TB

That tends to happen with people. GPU Boost 2.0 not only utilizes the temp target but also fan RPM, voltage, and power limits. It's not limitless by any means.

Well for me, my boost clock on my 780 is 941 MHz, it runs at 1280 MHz during gameplay.

AFAIK the boost clock is basically what it what boost up to on the current power limit? Correct me if I'm wrong.

i didn't think it was limitless but definitely nice that i'm running at 1419 mhz out of the box, tends to stay there too for me so i'm happy with that :D

thanks for the answers guys!
