Is this okay?

If he had a feeding tube at the top of the res then that's a good idea (other wise he might have to order one together with two 90 degree fittings). I missed that. I assumed the radiator inlet/outlet was on the other side of the case like most other plans I have seen.

 

Also it looks like the caps from the reservoir are reversed, the bottom only needs one outlet.

rotating the res helped a little but didn't solve the problem any other suggestions?

@Elbstrand has made some very good observations. In fact looking more closely you seem to have a feeding tube at the bottom.

 

  1. Move the reservoir down slightly to avoid kinking at the top.
  2. Unscrew all the fittings from the reservoir
  3. Flip the reservoir up-side-down.
  4. Connect the radiator at the top to the top of the reservoir to the port which has the feeding tube.
  5. Connect the bottom of the reservoir to the pump.

You may need some 90 degree fittings or to move the res down further but if you do that you should be fine without the need to order more tubing.

what do you mean?

 

The bottom only gets one outlet which feeds the pump, the top gets multiple inlets for filling and feeding the loop into the reservoir.

Its not like your current config won't work, but this way it should allow you to skip the tubing behind the tray issue alltogether and it should be much easier to get rid of air bubbles in the loop.

Do all reservoirs got them? I think some are build one way or the other to avoid vortex forming.

Well you need to prevent it and they naturally form when water is drained at the bottom. Notice even bay res'  and pump res combos feed water directly into the exit to stop the effect (besides performance benefits)
