Linus and Luke complain about pages that have ads like that on a normal basis (WAN Show). They would never do that

They have always been against those intrusive ads so I doubt that'll be a problem.

In fact, I would be the first to make an adblocker list to block only the intrusive ones on LTT if that happens, so you don't have to block all of them. 

I don't get ads on LTT because I donate, so I doubt they are that way or close but IDK

The ads to me are not a bother at all the way they are placed on the site.  As for ads as a whole I wish commerce would die so ads would go away but I don't think this is going to happen in my lifetime.  I can dream though.

I get where you're coming from, but being only 16 and having put so much into my setup, paying for my phone bill, my own internet, my Spotify, Netflix, and a few other bills. Maybe during the summer I can become a contributor

I get where you're coming from, but being only 16 and having put so much into my setup, paying for my phone bill, my own internet, my Spotify, Netflix, and a few other bills. Maybe during the summer I can become a contributor 

not pressuring at all. If you are not ad blocking, you are doing better than most.

Personally I don't care about the ads here as they are unintrusive and not animated/ don't have sounds. The not animated part is quite a big deal for me as my laptop's pretty slow and can't handle any video due to lack of video drivers.

I always use AdBlocker on every website I go, heh.

Running a website like this is not cheap, especially when they want to add more features to make the experience for you even better. If you use adblock, you increase the loss that LinusMediaGroup makes on this site (it is my understanding that they don't make a profit, even with the ads on here), which means that they will have to add more ads for the people who are prepared to support them.

If you don't want to see ads on the forum, please consider becoming a forum contributor rather than using an adblocker. That way, you won't have any ads, but you will also be supporting the forum. I understand that some people can't afford or don't want to put aside money every month to support the site, and that is absolutely fine, but please consider not using an adblocker on here if that is the case.
