Moving from Windows 7 to 8.1 but..

Sebastian M

Hey guys!

I've just build a new rig, and im gonna move my ssd from the old rig, to the new one.

But when i try to remove Windows 7 ( I'm removing the OS from the old rig, well i try to) then i cant remove it.

What can i do about it ? Do i need to move the ssd to the new rig, or remove the OS in the bios or something ?

I AM REALLY LOST PLS HELP ''CRYING''

Release doesn't mean it will be bug-free.

Windows 7 is a pirate version installed by the pc man building the rig a few years ago.

^^This is the old rig with the SSD in it btw.

Im going to reuse my SSD from the old rig, and put it into the new rig, but when i try to formatting the SSD i just cant :( A error pops up saying something like '' U cant formatting this because it is in use)

Ah, you need to boot from a USB to format it because you're trying to format it from windows and it cant delete itself when its being used. So yeah, get a windows 8.1 usb and boot from that then you can install it. Alternatley get a Linux distro and use gparted to format the SSD
