360+480 Monsta Enough for My Build?

So I'm starting a new build with a 5930K and two 290x and was wondering if a 360 and 480 Monsta is gonna be enough for it? I'm gonna be oc'ing the 5930K to about 4.3 - 4.7. Also can anyone tell me a good online store for water cooling parts? Coz FrozenCPU has literally frozen. Thanks!

Rule of thumb, for each water block have a 140mm radiator. So only 3 blocks the 360 and 480 are a bit overkill  :P

CPU: Intel i7-4790K @ 4.7GHz --- RAM: Lenovo 1600MHz 16GB --- MOBO: Gigabyte Z97-G7 --- GPU: EVGA GTX 970 FTW ACX 2.0+--- PSU: Corsair CX600 --- Case: Corsair Air 540 --- Cooler: NZXT Kraken X61 --- OS: Windows 8.1 --- Monitor: 24" AOC G2460P + Dell 19" --- Mouse: Logitech MX Perfromance --- Keyboard: Corsair K70 (Cherry MX Brown) --- Audio: Sennheiser HD558

Don't buy a GTX 980, it's overpriced! Buy 2 GTX 970s or 2 R9 290s intstead (the R9 290s would even be cheaper)

I'm designing a wooden cabinet case that would sit underneath my desk and hoping it would blend in with the rest of my furnitures.

I forgot that rule. I tried checking out martinsliquidlab but it's down.

So how about any stores to buy these rads from? Or am I gonna have to purchase it off amazon?

That would be more than enough rads just be sure to have them in push pull if you do want better performance using 80mm rads since it's fairly difficult to move air through those. As for where to get theses rads from, Peformance PC's, NCIX (ordering them usually), and Dazmode in Canada.

Thanks for the store recommendations! And thanks for the help everyone! Now I feel confident push through with designing my cabinet case. If only I could pick all of your answers.

Wow if only I knew about dazmode I wouldn't have spent $200 in shipping from performance-pcs.com. Also performance-pcs keeps giving me wrong parts that I have to send back, not very professional imo.

That's real annoying hate it when companies just keep making mistakes, btw did you happen to have to pay for extra fees bringing it through to Canada I'm been trying to secure some fittings for a good while now. Got two orders from NCIX ordered right now but no date until further notice.

Yeah, each time you pay the duty fees, which essentially is worth the tax, and then whatever fees the company that ships it charges for bringing it through customs. I used DHL as it was the cheapest and fastest to me in western canada, they charge a $10 fee for duties. Although when I bought my GPU waterblock and other things it was actually a lot less because they said it was cheaper on the duty slip. So prepare for 10% +$10 on your order at the door.

You won't regret Monsta rads. They're amazing if used properly. Best of luck to you, friend.

With the hardware you are using I would use 45mm rads, 60mm tops. 80mm just looks weird and you will need higher RPM fans

It's ok. It's gonna be in a closed wooden cabinet case where no one will be able to see what's inside. There will be mesh covered rectangular holes on the bottom and rear of the cabinet for the radiator. For fans they're gonna be noctua's (coz they no longer make 5400 rpm gentle typhoons ;) jk ) Hopefully the 3000 rpm Idustrial PPC ones if they don't make jet engine noise which I will test. I wouldn't mind a little noise because the pc will be hidden and it'd be a good indicator if the machine is still running.

ljcool_17: First here's the new link to martinsliquidlabs. He has a new domain for all his info:

https://martinsliquidlab.wordpress.com/

Second, I have a 5960x OC'd to 4.4Ghz and 2 290s OC'd to 1100/1400 custom watercooled in a Thermaltake core X9. I have 3 480 rads cause I like rad capacity. However, a 360+480 Monsta combo should be fine. I have 12 Gentle Typhoon AP15 GTs and they are great.  I think Coolerguys still carries them.

Finally, I bought all of my new parts from Performance PC and was pleased. If you are in Canada, your fight is not with Performance PC but the shipping costs imposed by Canada. For example, I live in Pennsylvania and I can ship a part to someone in the US with the cost varying from the closest zone cost of @ $7 to perhaps $10 in California or even Alaska. If I ship due north into Canada, closer than Indiana, It costs a minimum of $30.

Sad but a US shipper cannot absorb that difference.
