How to make an awesome LTT Google Chrome background or any background for that matter as well as a theme!

So many of you might already have your awesome Google background or theme like me, but for those left behind in the dust, here you go!

1. Search "Custom Google Background" in your Google search using the Chrome web browser.

2. Click on the search result "Custom Google Background - Chrome Web Store."

    Once you have done that there should be a pop up titled "Custom Google Background" with a button on the top right corner of it "Add to         Chrome?"

3. Click the "Add to Chrome" button and you will get another small square pop up with an option "Add" and click "Add." Once you have done that there should be a new web page that opens up.

4. Scroll down until you see a section labeled "1. Add Your Images!" There should be three options available.

5. From there you can upload your own image, enter a url from the web, or search using the 500px which you enter a keyword for what you want as your background in the bar and it will pop up with some images. Pretty convenient if you don't have any pictures that you like or you don't know how to use the url option.

6. Once you have selected one of those options you can scroll down to see a section labeled "2. Select Your Images!" You should have two default images from Google and whatever you have uploaded or added.

7. Select one of the images by clicking on it and a green outline should appear around it.

8. Once you have done that you can open a new tab and as long as you are using Chrome and Google Search as your default the image you selected should appear. It may take a few seconds to load and possibly a refresh.

9. If you would like to change your image simply click on the three bars in the top right corner, go into "settings," "extensions," and click on "options." Then, repeat steps 4 through 8. Or hit "Change Background Images" in the bottom left corner and repeat steps 4 through 8.

10. No fear if you hate the feature, just click the three bars, go  to "settings," "extensions," and click on the box with the check mark in it next to "enabled" to disable the feature. If you want to remove it completely just hit the trash can next to "Enable."

 

To add a theme (Changes tab color and the bar at the top and adds a background that can be covered by a regular background^):

1. Simply click the three bars again.

2. Scroll down to appearance.

3. Click on get themes. You should be brought to the Chrome Web Store.

4. Choose a theme that strikes your fancy like Bob Marley or a Lambo and there you go!

5. A pop up will pop up and if that's the theme you'd like to look at hit the "Add to Chrome" button in the top right corner of the pop up.

6. To check out your new decked out Google Search page just make a new tab and maybe give it a quick refresh if it hasn't appeared yet.

7. If you would like the tab bar at the top to have your chosen theme but you want the background to be an image that you have chosen just enable your "Custom Google Background" extension and your theme and there you go!

8. If you would like to change the theme just repeat steps 1 through 4.

9  If you would like to reset the theme just go to "settings," "Appearance," and click the button "Reset to default theme."

Yep, that's a pretty sweet Chrome Extension.

Used it quite a bit to customize the colors and stuff of my Chrome
