Yeah, we're all just a bunch of idiots experiencing nothing more than the placebo effect.

You shouldn't get corrosion as long as you use a proper coolant or deionized water. Corrosion is generally caused by imbalances between dissimilar metals, such as copper and aluminum (The GTX rad is a copper core for example) but using a coolant that does not conduct electricity should prevent any monkey business.

As long as you aren't dumping tap water into the loop you should be fine.

I also build electrical systems in aluminum boats. Floating grounds are fun. Stray current is fun.

Why are you worried about corrosion? Because of the aluminum caps? As far as I can tell those are on the outside and won't at any time come in contact with the liquid inside the reservoir during normal use. If it gives you ease of mind, add an anti-corrosive to your liquid and presto.

All those components will work perfectly inside of a distilled loop with biocide or kill coil, for the reservoir the aluminum parts will not contact the flue only the black acetal caps and the acrylic tube will contact any fluid so you should have no problems.
