That'll do the trick, I'm thinking of getting two in my Cooler Master 335U Elite when I get a job but I'm not sure if they'll fit.

If only I could afford even one of them :(

One day when I get a job I will get two and just be the happiest guy alive!

I hope that's Asus makes a new limited edition Mars III card based on dual Gtx 780's.

It would only make sense to have a real water block on it and not 2 ghetto mounted H80 blocks

BTW 2 GK110's on one PCB would be a MASSIVE card. do you see the size of that GPU? we're looking at something probably larger than the 7990, maybe as big as the 6990. oh, and yeah. there's no silicon left to be binned for it. all the better chips are going into titans and teslas.

Daily Driver:

Case: Red Prodigy CPU: i5 3570K @ 4.3 GHZ GPU: Powercolor PCS+ 290x @1100 mhz MOBO: Asus P8Z77-I CPU Cooler: NZXT x40 RAM: 8GB 2133mhz AMD Gamer series Storage: A 1TB WD Blue, a 500GB WD Blue, a Samsung 840 EVO 250GB

Finally someone hit the bell, and realizes there are no chips to bin for lower power consumption as the good ones all go to the Teslas first. Not to mention some of these extremely large card make the PCIe slots on your mobo beg for mercy. The 7990 has specially binned 7970 cores for lower power consumption and still look how massive that card is, take the larger chip size on the GK 110 and the more complex power delivery and you start to wonder how to cool the thing, if such a card would make it to market it would be one hell oversized PCB or just only come with water-blocks and no air cooling option, however I dont think Nvidia would waste the RD for a special water cooling reference card which very few people would actually buy. A board partner might make an unofficial GTX 790, however I highly doubt Nvidia would even bother with it as they are probably tweaking Maxwell at the moment.

As with any business you want to appeal to a broad audience and a water cooling card is not that large of a market, to begin with, compund this issue with the amount of people that buy $1000 video cards and its not worth it from a business standpoint. The best I could see happening is an Asus MARS III with a closed loop cooler similar to the ARES II with a 240mm Rad as that would have enough cooling potential for such a card. Possible or no the Cost to potential gain in profit is close to zilch.

I really wanted to see the Mars III come in production when they showed it off at Computex 2012. Too bad they decided to cancel it, as it "was only displayed during a factory tour, to show ASUS craftmanship."

However, I do think they will release a Mars III with 2 GTX 780s, looking at their previous history, I can see why they decided to release the Ares II over Mars III.

Mars - GTX 285x2 Limited edition of 1000
Ares - ATI 5860x2 Limited edition of 1000
Mars II - GTX 580x2 Limited edition of 1000
Ares II - AMD 7970GHzx2 Limited edition of 1000

To follow Asus' release pattern, it'll be Mars III next

2 GK 110 chips on the same card doesn't really sound like a good idea, but I bet someone will try it... I believe rumours said the 760 will be the last GTX 700 series card this year. I was hoping they'd at least release a 750 Ti but I guess it's not going to happen for now :(.

The titan is taking the place of a 790

i9 25.6 GHz with NeuronThreading, 256gb 6000 MHz RAM, GTX 990 OC 3024MHz 12gb, Skeletal X99 motherboard, 1 Petabyte SSD, Fractal Design Humaniod R1 Case, Herbivore 10,000W PSU, Noctua NF16 LP Derma Cooler.

I don't get it, the only people who should give a rats ass about dual gpu cards is small boards that cant do sli or crossfire :P

single gpu cards are ALWAYS better...

If I had one wish, I would ask for a big enough ass for the whole world to kiss

If they made a 790 would anyone buy it? Think about it, a Titan is $1000, so a 790 would be at least $1800

Edit: Ok, that was a dumb question. Of course someone would buy it. But would it be profitable? Probably not.
