Someone tried to fit 212 evo in 155mm case?

dankarlo
Go to solution Solved by MatadorZA,

The bulge in the side panel makes me think it will fit fine. Just do what I did when I bought my first 212, buy it....and find out for yourself. Well for me it turned out I had to run my PC without a side panel for a few months but it was definitely worth it lol

I am wondering between CM T4 and 212 Evo. It says that my case will fit a 155mm cooler and the 212evo is 159mm.

The T4 will fit just fine (152mm) but since I am on AM3+, it can be installed only horizontally which I don't find efficient in my case.

There are some buldges in my case's side panel which could help with the clearance, but I am not sure if it will truly fit. As you know sometimes the heatpipe ends are a bit deformed and could be higher than advertised.

So, did anyone tried to fit 212 in a case with a spec "155mm clearance for cooler"?

Thanks :)

It's probably not compatible then.

If you really want you can bring out a measure tape and test it yourself.

Thanks guys. Ordering it now. Better fit, if not, there will be a "devine intervention" for that side panel :)
