Electrical Static noise coming from GPU cable?

What power cable? You mean the PCIe power cable?

Its not the cable making the noise its the GPU

its called coil whine and its annoying but will not damage anything

so there's no reason to worry about the cable short circuiting something?

What power supply do you have? Some Silverstone PSU's have caps in their PCIe power cables that can generate noise.

Seasonic gold 650W, card is the gtx 970 SSC ACX 2.0. Just bought it and this is the first time i've loaded a GPU heavy game (CS:GO) most times it;s League of Legends which doesn't use much GPU
