User Dj_Mike238 asked:

Any hints about the #OneGameChanger? (Pretty please?)

David from OnePlus replied:

It's a drone, the DR-1 and we will start selling it next month.

It's an interesting move for a new smartphone maker to venture into drones. What do you guys think?

Poor move. Drones aren't as easy as the fad sensation suggests.

They are truly a "buy what you pay for". Flight controllers worth using especially for mass market use are not cheap.

They probably heard about how DJI makes a billion dollars a year from drones and decided to get a piece. But DJI makes a quality product that is also not cheap and not priced for everyone.

Well, let's just hope battery life on the Dr-1 is as strong as the OnePlus One. I want to get through a full day off a single charge.

Thats not how it works.

Even the beefiest of consumer drone batteries last 30 minutes tops, carrying a few kilos of equipment. Everything else is in the ~10 minute range.
