How to get around my school Wi-Fi?

legend8887

You cannot get a signal inside my school at all. If you can, it's very slow and disconnects, no matter what carrier. They have Wi-Fi which is very good and I have no choice but to connect to it. They recently blocked Snap chat and Instagram among other things which I would like access to. How do I do it?

I have an LG G3 with AT&T.

Try a VPN app. I used to use SpeedVPN until my school blocked it. Give it a shot.

2106 posts but still forgets to follow, shame on you!

But indeed, try @Interfectorem's VPN, it could work!

What makes the VPN get passed the Wi-Fi?

Yeah the schools WiFi will go through their firewall. Your only option could be a VPN or a proxy but chances are the firewall will have a long list of those blocked too!

It directs your internet traffic through another server. Think of it as remoting into another computer

IOS is VERY strict about their apps and about safety. A VPN is not too safe, using a free one will destroy your privacy. Only Android and maybe Windows Phone have VPN's, IOS don't as far as I know.

It's really easy to set up a vpn on iOS just go to settings, general, vpn. Alternatively, you can download hotspot shield and it'll set it up for you.

It might sound like a n00bish thing to do but I use teamviewer. There is a web-based client so I can go on the computers at school (or my own netbook) and remotely control my main PC from home. This also means you can access your files from home and stuff like that.
