NZXT H440 White Rain build

(view in night mode for sexy contrast) :P

1. Budget & Location
I am using my aging 2009 Macbook Pro 17" as a cost point coming in at $3,200 (Don't wanna here about it). My base budget is $5,000 USD and $8,000 USD max when desks or displays are factored. This system is for home and business but will be housed at home most likely in a dedicated room.

Case: NZXT H440 [White]                                  $120.00

CPU: Intel Core i7-5960x                                 $1000.00

MB: ASUS X99-Deluxe                                       $372.00

Mem: Klevv Cras 64GB [8x8GB]                  $500-$1000*

PSU: EVGA 1000W P2                                       $179.00

SSD/HDD: Kingston Hyper X 3K 240GB SSD

                  WD 5TB Red Intellipower [x2]          $611.00*

GPU: EVGA Titan X SC  [2-way SLI]                  1998.00*

First wave total:           $3,580 +tax, shipping, and +/- price fluctuation

Second wave total:      $5,160 +tax, shipping, and +/- price fluctuation

* subject to change based on cooling or hardware needs

2. Aim
Multi-threaded, memory intensive rendering workloads such as film editing, 3D manipulation and creation, and gaming.

3. Monitors
4k and most likely in a tri-moniter display for gaming, though during workflow I will probably only use 2 of them actively. I will assess prices closer to the completion time since prices will definitely drop again in the next 6 month period.

4. Peripherals

Not sure on this note as far as gaming goes, I know I would probably use a EVGA X5 mouse, but until I've gotten some hands on with keyboards I don't want to make any clear decisions. Joystick or HOTAS wise will be even more dependent on what I chose to play at the time, but I will eventually look into it.

5. Cooling

I am planning to hard pipe this case when I feel comfortable bending the materials, but I will most likely start with soft tubing. I would be blocking the CPU, GPU, and Memory.

Notes: I have over 15 years worth of music that is backed up and most of it unable to be used due to it's almost 200GB in size (which is too big for my meager 320GB), so I'm looking to consolidate all of it as well as 10 years of backed up photography raws and jpegs at 2TB.

Power supply headroom needed for radiator and pump support.

Graphics cards are subjective, due to the fact the Titan X will probably have custom PCBs later this year or this coming spring, or even a new card period, its subjectivity is noted.

I'm also planning to have custom graphics made for the case in industrial grade vinyl :)

What do you guys think of the Klevv memory? I find their designs very tasteful.

I've had a sudden attraction to Air 540 builds lately.

But for some reason, I just feel weird about such an overtheline build in that case. I don't know what it is.

nothing wrong with it, great case, but it just makes me feel weird for some reason.

I'm really partial to NZXT's design, given a choice I will always choose them <///<

May your wallet rest in peace :)

Make that 4K your bish

Yeah that's the whole point, I'm not to worried about the expense of the end machine because it is of course a life goal. I'll look back on a build like this one day and be like "wow, that fun!" :D
