Trust me I had an Lenovo laptop from 3 years ago. That think had 5 kilograms. I sold it like in three months and bought a HP laptop that had half the weight and double of performance of the other one . I currently have a laptop because it's just more practical for me now because I go to high school and I need my laptop every day. When I am home I close it down, plug in my speakers, keyboard and mouse and my 32 inch FHD TV, and use it just like a desktop.

I don't really have a favourite but I quite like Asus and some of the MSI laptops but I'm not keen on the prices

I really want this but the price is a little steep, especially for something that can ultimately be dropped

Definitely Dell, not the Inspirons though, but the Precision and Latitudes.

Equip this one with the Quadro K5000 and it performs as good as a 7970M. These things last for decades and the support is amazing.

i had a latitude D610 that was made in 05 and it finally died this year

I would have to say Sony.

The Vaio Pro 13 = Beautiful.

Dat Carbon Fiber = astounding

After that I would have to say either lenovo or Asus.

Definitely Lenovo Thinkpads. They're amazing.

It's not really fair to compare laptops 3 years apart and say the new one is "double the performance and weighs less". Technology changes far too quickly.
